Nick London

Nick London is a specialist knee surgeon with more than 20 years’ experience in sports injuries, knee arthritis and knee replacement surgery. In 2018 he was appointed Visiting Professor to the Leeds Beckett University Carnegie School of Sport in recognition of his work with sports injuries.

After graduating from Cambridge University and a training scheme in Yorkshire, he completed a one-year sports knee fellowship in Australia before becoming a consultant in 2000. He has set up and developed The Yorkshire Knee Clinic and is a founder member of the European Knee Society.

Nick believes that the ability to manage all orthopaedic knee conditions from those developing in children and adolescents, through sports injuries in athletes of all abilities (elite professionals to ‘weekend warriors’) and ultimately to knee replacement in patients with severe arthritis is crucial to providing a complete service.

His main interests are in injury prevention/treatment for children and young athletes and managing the young, active patient with arthritis. He works with the orthopaedic industry to develop and evaluate the latest treatments and techniques, has a busy clinical research portfolio and lectures extensively at international meetings.
