Nick Smith is a specialty trainee (ST7) in trauma and orthopaedics on the West Midlands (Warwick) training programme.
His clinical and academic interest is in knee and sports surgery. He obtained Arthritis Research UK funding to undertake a pilot randomised control trial comparing meniscal allograft transplantation to non-operative treatment and subsequently completed a PhD in this area. He has authored several papers and won a number of prizes for his research in knee surgery, including the Robert Jones Medal in 2017.
