
Simon-Damian Steppacher is a Consultant in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Inselspital, Univeristy of Bern, Switzerland.
He gained his general medical qualification from the University of Bern's Medical School in 2005 after which he served as a First Lieutenant at the Swiss Army Medical Centre in Frauenfeld. Following his National Service, Simon undertook a series of internships and research posts at the University of Bern under Professors Exadaktylos, Siebenrock, Vögelin and Zimmerman until 2015 when he qualified as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon.
Simon also undertook a Research Fellowship studying the accuracy of CT-based computer-navigated total hip arthroplasty at the New England Baptist Hospital (Tufts University) and Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA.
Simon has published over fifty articles and book chapters in a wide range of international orthopaedic journals, and lectures regularly at international orthopaedic meetings.
