Jerry Healy

Jerry Healy trained at Jesus College Cambridge and St Thomas' Hospital Medical School London, qualifying in 1986. His radiology training was completed at St Bartholomews’ Hospital London where he was Clinical lecturer in MRI.

Jerry is an internationally renowned MSK radiologist with a particular interest and expertise interest in imaging sports injury. He provides expert advice to the RFU, FA, ECB, British Athletics and many premiership and football league teams. He provided radiology imaging services at the World Indoor Athletics Championship and the Beijing 2008 Olympics, and was Vice-Chair of the BSSR Radiology Organising Committee for the London 2012 Olympics.

Jerry has been Associate Editor for Clinical Sports Medicine and published over 80 peer reviewed papers, 17 book chapters, edited five books, and contributed several hundred abstracts for national and international radiological meetings.

He was the Lead Editor on the 39th Edition Gray's Anatomy, and he was also Imaging Editor and Section Editor for the 40th edition published in Nov 2008, which coincided with the 150th anniversary of the first publication of this historic text.

He is an international lecturer and teacher on MSK radiology, particularly in the context of sports injury, and is an Honorary Senior Lecturer, Imperial College, London.
