Lorenz Büchler

Lorenz Büchler is the head of the Musculoskeletal Center in Biel, Switzerland

Lorenz completed his general medical studies at the University of Bern in 1998 and specialised in orthopaedics in 2006 having spent an elective year at the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia.

Lorenz gained a PhD from the University of Bern in 2001, and his dissertation was titled Real time, confocal imaging of Ca2 + waves in arterially perfused rat hearts and was supervised by Professor Kléber.

Since 2001, Lorenz has practised at various establishments in Switzerland and Sweden including Inselspital, University of Bern, Sahlgrenska Hospital, University of Gothenburg and a visiting Fellowship at the Steadman Philippon Clinic in Vail, Colorado.

He is a member of the Swiss Society for Orthopaedics' Hip Expert Group, and is the Corresponding Member of the Chilean Society of Orthopaedics and Traumatology.
